Colleen Davies has worked in the field of education for over 20 years. She holds a bachelor’s of Education from the University of Montana and a Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in adolescent literacy and a reading specialist endorsement from the University of Texas at Arlington.  She is also a certified dyslexia specialist and dyslexia advocate through the University of San Diego. Colleen has served in a variety of capacities, some of which include: classroom teacher, Title 1 teacher and district reading specialist.  Within these roles she has supported teachers by providing professional development training in the areas of curriculum implementation and science of reading principals.  Colleen has also developed action plans for intervention and remediation and was instrumental in selecting and implementing a district wide tier 3 reading curriculum.  Most recently Colleen has begun literacy consulting with Instructional Intensity, Inc., a firm owned by Tami Bebee-Schwartz.  Colleen’s passion is addressing the needs of adolescent readers who are faced with significant reading challenges, by offering support to middle and high school teachers.  Colleen currently resides in Missoula, Montana with her husband and two children.
